Xperi approached Studio 63 to design and integrate numerous concepts into a 2019 Karma Revero GT and the 2018 Karma Revero. The California-based firm out of San Jose needed to create a compelling new concept of experience for car owners to showcase what a car of the future could be.

Xperi needed to create in-cabin monitoring to detect facial and passenger occupancy to give drivers more info about what is going on in and around the vehicle. We came up with a simple solution to embed a flip-up camera that stays hidden until the car’s doors are unlocked via B-pillar facial recognition software which then proceeds to scan the driver to adjust seating, mirrors as well as turn the car’s ignition switch. Our team wrote and compiled software for this to integrate seamlessly with new larger in-dash screens and mirrors. Studio 63 designed, developed, and integrated new dashboard bezels for over-sized screens as well as center console screens and plugins.
